An integral part of most businesses having a network in place is more than just connecting computer hardware together. It is about providing for future growth, ensuring proper security is in place. Having the correct software installed. Ensuring that the hardware is going to meet your needs. All this centers around: R.O.I - Return On Investment. Meaning how MUCH will your business stand to generate on the money you spend. and also R.O.I or Return of Investment. Meaning the TIME will it take for your investment to pay itself off. Before those questions can be answered you have to know which type of network best serves your business. A bad plan becomes a "white elephant" and will send you out of business fast. Your network needs to be planned properly - Will you be breaking it down into stages? Will you have need to work remotely? Will you need connectivity between multiple offices on separate floors? How are you going to protect your information and intellectual property. These are just some of the questions that will need to be answered? There are so many more. Once you have the Planning in place and know what network you need then you need to implement the plan. "Doing IT Right" is what you deserve. Network Support is also part of the implementation process. Like a car the network requires maintenance or the flow of information fails or worse. Setting up a network with a sub-standed plan or none at all is just as bad as a plan poorly implemented plan. |
